Who else went to the recent “The Makeup Fair” event that held in Abuja? I did!
It was a great time to meet and explore several Nigerian makeup brands I had no idea existed. Even though I discovered lots of brands, I definitely visited the stand of one Nigerian brand I have been using for a while now. I have been using Beyond Beauty matte lipsticks for some time, but I didn’t know they had other product ranges like powders and eyeshadows. Anyway, I was gifted a few products and I want to review the ones I have tried out one at a time.
The Beyond Beauty Face Definer is a 3-part palette consisting of one highlighter, one dark contour shade, and a bronzer. I definitely love the contour shade and the bronzer, however, the highlighter is not so powdery. It cakes and feels like a concealer. If you love your make up to be cakey, you will probably love it. However, it works for me because I don’t use concealers to highlight & contour 80% of the time in my routine because I really like my makeup to be light.
What I do is to apply it directly after my foundation, it really bakes up… a little bit difficult to blend, so you have to take time to blend it out effectively. Then, I go in with the contour shade and my setting powder.
